Radio Ink – Who We Are Tonight (Rogue Vogue Remix)

Every now and then a really great house tune comes along and knocks your socks off. For an old timer like me the track has to have a heavy does of house-history, and this great remix of a an Australian Electro Pop band tune has just that.

Producing deep, sophisticated Disco/House music in the Windy City, Rogue Vogue pays homage to the sweaty club nights of the late ’80s/early ’90s where Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, and Paul Johnson reigned supreme. (from Rogue Vogue’s own profile on Soundcloud)

While Australian synth-pop trio Radio Ink are filling up their tank, we are vogueing to the sound of Chicago’s Rogue Vogue superb remix of their latest single “Who We Are Tonight”. We first heard it on The Magician’s Magic Tape 21 and it’s still on repeat. (from LAGangsta)

Chicago is the home of House music, and the mysterious producer from the Windy City known as Rogue Vogue knows his roots. I first heard of RV last June when he sent out his two summertime House anthems, ‘Breezy’ and ‘Sunshine’n,’ and since then I’d been curious as to what he’s been up to. As it turns out, he’s still making great House jams, like his latest remix of Australian Synthpoppers, Radio Ink, which was recently featured on the latest ‘Magic Tape Twenty-One‘ put together by none other than The Magician.
