The Stoneham Pub & Pizzaria Hove

me and my wife carina williams loved this pub, great food great staff, child friendly. We had a works night out ‘ Hanover Care’ last night, we all loved it, keep up the good work

never met anyone as camp as you simon but god you are funny, love to your lovely boyfriend and have a great trip to egypt, and yes meet you at stoneham next week

Great idea but the food is inconsistent. Once waited for an hour for pizza despite pub being empty, second time ordered vegetarian platter with focaccia and got meat platter with ciabatta!! Last time Issa dough was so hard you could have played frisbee with it!! Shame they cannot get it right after 3 months being opened!! Martin Webb needs to get it right!!!

Had been coming here periodically for the past 6 months or so but now more.

I was sitting my 2 and 3 year old daughters down on a couch and having barely managed to give them a juicebox and before I could even get up to the bar to by myself a pint, one of the barman had swooped over to us and and started cutting into how rude I was for having the audacity to give my children a bit of a snack in his “child friendly” establishment from “the outside” (I have NEVER had a problem doing this ANYWHERE in Brighton, or London, or England, Spain, Italy, France, or the US in the past couple years. Not a single bar, restaurant, pub, you name it.

I could go on and on about the conversation I had with this guy (he even had the cheek to admit he also had a 2 year-old – and no, they don’t offer juice boxes or any means of serving up a 2 year old in a child friendly way), but it’s hardly worth my breath. I nor my wife nor kids nor any friends I have in the area will be going into this place again.

I won’t even go into the time we ordered a “child snack box” (as they don’t have any child friendly meals – unless you count icecream) that they allegedly had to go off-site to get because they didn’t have any and we left after 45 minutes empty handed.

Service was poor (both times I went) and they got the order wrong! So slow and staff looked like they would rather be somewhere else! The floors and tables were flithy and sticky too! Wont be coming back.
