Isn’t eccentricity great!

Two articles in the papers this morning summing up the best in English eccentricity.

Firstly there’s the story of the ‘human mole’. A wealthy house owner (Wilian Lyttle) who lived in Hackney who spent years digging a labyrinth of tunnels under his mansion under the pretence that they were just an extension to his wine cellar!

And then there’s Sebastian Horsley, a wealthy (seemingly common thread in all English eccentrics!), who appears to have overdosed on the excesses of an extraordinary life. Full story here.

Makes one wish one’s own life was a little more eccentric!
